One in five people will suffer from depression in the course of their adult lives.  I think that statistic actually means that one in five will be diagnosed with depression because I suspect that the number of people who suffer from depression is higher.  Why?  Because it’s normal to be depressed – it’s the way out subconscious mind is wired – God alone knows why!
