Just as I started writing the title of this post I remembered that my last post might have said something about us all being the authors of our own misfortune. If that is the case - and I strongly believe that it is (been there, done that, have now burned the T-Shirt!) - then, by definition, we must be able to be the authors of our own happiness and success.

And it's as easy as putting a different CD in the disc drive! Yes, that's right - at present, you're playing pretty awful mood music - and what have you got to show for it? Well, if you're normal, a life that's characterized by worry, stress, hassle, lots of wasted time and opportunities - and the odd happy time that's all too fleeting.

If you changed your tune, you'd change your life. The problem is, first of all, we've been playing the same old song for so long that we don't even notice it anymore - it's background music that's got under your skin and, now, it's part of your life. Secondly, I bet you that you don't have any real idea of the music that you'd like to play. It's shocking the number of people that I meet who want to change their life - but they've no concrete idea of what they'd like to change it to! They know what they want to run away from - but you've got to give your mind an idea of where you want to run to.

So, ask yourself this question this morning - what's important to me in my life - really important? Who's important to me? What would really turn me on and what would it feel like to be there? Alright, it's more than one question - they may not be big questions but getting the answers to them will make a huge difference in your life.
